September Bank Holidays: Banks will remain closed on these dates, settle all your work on time

There are not too many festivals in September. According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), banks will be closed for a few days in September due to holidays in some cities. However, some of these festivals celebrate only special states.



Bank Holidays in September 2020: New month i.e. September is starting from Tuesday. If you have work in the bank next month, then you should know that on which days the bank will be closed in this month. This will make it easier for you to finish the bank’s work There are not much public holidays in the months of September, but different festivals will be celebrated in some parts.

Bank Holiday in September

This month there is no such gazetted holiday or festival, due to which there is a holiday across the country. However, mainly 3 festivals – Sri Narayana Guru Jayanti, Mahalaya Amavasya and Sri Narayana Guru Samadhi Divas – will be holiday in more than one place or states.



September 2 – Sri Narayana Guru Jayanti. Bank holidays in Kochi, Gangtok and Thiruvananthapuram.
September 17 – Mahalaya Amavasya. Banks closed in Agartala, Kolkata and Bengaluru. In many states, due to Vishwakarma Day, there will be a holiday.
21 September – Sri Narayana Guru Samadhi Day. Banks holiday in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram.
Apart from these, there are some such festivals, due to which banks will remain closed in different areas.



September 1 – Banks will remain closed due to Jatra in Sikkim and Third Onam in Kerala.
23 September – Haryana Heroes Martyrdom Day. Closed in banks in Haryana.
September 28 – Sardar Bhagat Singh Jayanti. Holiday in many banks in Punjab.
Apart from these, banks will also be closed due to the weekly holidays on the second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays that come every month. This month on Sunday, September 6, 13, 20 and 27, banks across the country will be closed. At the same time, due to the second and fourth Saturdays respectively on September 12 and 26, banks will also be discharged across the country.
