Swamitva scheme: Ownership on village residential property will be easy to get loan from bank, government will make drones mapping

  • Swamitva scheme: Government started ownership plan to keep details of residential property of village
  • Villages will be demarcated by mapping via drone

new Delhi. The ‘Swamitva scheme’ is being run by the Modi government to strengthen the village infrastructure and eliminate disputes over residential property in the villages. In this, the people of the village will be given their ownership after mapping every property of the village (Maping Of Property). This will make them easy to take a loan. Currently, this scheme has been started in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand under this scheme. Later it will be linked to other states as well.

What is the plan?
Khasra-Khatauni records the cultivated land of the village. But there is no record of residential property of villages. In such a situation, the ownership of each residential property will be measured through ‘ownership scheme’. For this, drone mapping will be done in the villages. It will include the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Panchayati Raj and Revenue Department of the states and Survey of India.

How the scheme will work?
A digital map will be made of each property falling within the village limits by the drone. This will also set the boundaries of each revenue segment. On the basis of accurate measurement, a card will be generated by the state government for the property of every household in the village. This will make it easier to get ownership. Due to which the bank will also get loan.
