According to UIDAI, the document you are using to update the date of birth in your Aadhaar should be in your name and the name should be similar to your current Aadhaar data. This information has been given by the UIDAI, the authority that issues Aadhaar and provides services related to it.

Change in date of birth
The Unique Identification Authority of India has also set certain conditions for improving the date of birth. Under this, if there is a difference of less than three years in case of change in date of birth, then you can get it corrected by going to a nearby Aadhar facility with the relevant documents. If there is a difference of more than three years in age, then you will have to take a document to the regional base center. UIDAI has also said that the gender improvement facility in Aadhaar will now be provided only once.

According to UIDAI, the document valid for updation, accepts 15 documents for proof of date of birth. To change the date of birth on the Aadhaar card, the documents you can provide as proof include birth certificate, SSLC certificate, passport, photo ID card from recognized educational institution, PAN card, mark sheet from government board or university, Official photo ID cards found from PSU are included.

Chance to improve name too
There is a chance to change the name in Aadhaar twice.
