Jio’s Dhansu service! Will be able to run internet in international flight as well, can make call-message and email
To use mobile and internet in flight, users have to recharge their phone with Jio’s flight plan. Know what is the complete process …
Indian passengers traveling on international routes by flight will now be able to use mobile services and internet on the plane as well. For this, Reliance Jio has partnered with 22 airlines operating on international routes. With this, Jio has become the second Indian company to provide mobile and internet services during the flight. Earlier, Tata group company Nelco was offering in-flight mobile services to Vistara Airlines on the London route.
To use mobile and internet in flight, users have to recharge their phone with Jio’s flight plan. However, the validity of its plan is one day only. To use mobile services in flight, users will have to wait for the plane to take off. Users will not be able to use mobile and internet at the time of takeoff. But after takeoff, it can be used after the plane reaches 20,000 feet.
Here’s how to use JIO’s flight pack: First turn on your smartphone and turn off the flight mode, which you must have turned on during takeoff. By doing this, your smartphone will be automatically connected to the AeroMobile network. The name of the network depends on your handset. Its name may be different in different handsets.
If your smartphone is not automatically connected to the AeroMobile network, go to the Carrier option given in your phone settings and select AeroMobile manually. After this make sure that your Data Roaming is on. Only after it is on, you will be able to use the internet in flight.
As soon as the smartphone is connected to the AeroMobile network, you will get a welcome message and other information. After this, you will be able to run calls, messages, e-mail and internet from your smartphone in flight.
Partnership with these airlines: Jio partners with Cathay Pacific, Virgin Atlantic, Swiss airlines, Singapore Airlines, Emirates, Etihad airways, Euro wings, Lufthansa, Malindo Air, Biman Bangladesh airlines and Alitalia to provide mobile and internet services in flight Has
This is the plan price: Jio has announced 3 international roaming packs of Rs 499, Rs 699 and Rs 999 for passengers flying from India with one day validity. All plans offer 100 minutes of outgoing voice calls and 100 SMS.
250 MB mobile data is available in the plan of 499 rupees. Similarly, 500 MB for 699 rupees and one GB of data is available for Rs 999. However, incoming calls are allowed in any plan, whereas, incoming SMS is free. (Disclaimer – News18 Hindi is part of Reliance Industries company Network18 Media & Investment Ltd..
