By this, people will get rid of the embarrassment and trouble of stopping documents on the road. If any of their documents are less or incomplete, then they will get an E-Challan.



new Delhi. The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) recently made several changes in the Central Motor Vehicle Rules 1989. New motor vehicle rules notified by the center are coming into effect from 1 October 2020. According to the ministry, through IT Services and Electronic Monitoring (E-Monitoring) traffic rules can be better implemented across the country. According to the new rules, now no vehicle can be stopped on the road just for checking documents. By this, people will get rid of the hassle and embarrassment of stopping documents on the road.

Now there will be no demand for physical documents for investigation

According to the new rules, if any document of a vehicle will be less or incomplete, then the documents will be e-validated through its registration number and e-challan will be sent. That is, now physical documents will not be demanded for checking vehicles. Now the question arises that if the vehicles of the vehicles are not physically examined, then how will we know that any document of a vehicle has been expired.

Driving license details will be recorded on the portal

The Ministry has clarified that the details of disqualified or revoked Driving License from the Licensing Authority will be recorded in the portal, which will be updated from time to time. It will appear on the updated data portal. If the details of the documents are found valid through electronic means from the enforcement officer, then physical documents will not be demanded for investigation. This will also include cases where the driver has committed a violation, in which a document has to be seized.



Electronically maintain your vehicle documents

According to the new rules issued by the central government, vehicle owners will be required to maintain their documents in electronic form to get rid of the hassle of stopping on the road. If you understand in easy language, the necessary documents related to the vehicle like license, registration documents, fitness certificate, permits can be maintained through the government-run web portal. Compounding, impounding, endorsement, suspension and revocation of license, registration and issuing of e-challan will also be possible through electronic portal.

Traffic department will monitor the behavior of such driver



The traffic department will maintain the record electronically. With this, the behavior of the driver can also be monitored. In other words, the record of the revoked or disqualified driving license on the portal will be updated from time to time. This will help authorities to monitor the behavior of the driver. According to the rules, if any vehicle related documents have been verified electronically, then police officers will not be able to ask for a physical copy of it. After seeking or seeking a document, the date and time stamp of the investigation and the record of the identity of the police officer in the uniform will also be maintained on the portal.
