Pm Kisan Yojna update Government of India has ordered the states to carry out physical verification of 5% beneficiaries so that people who are taking benefits without eligibility can be identified.

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana One of the major and most popular schemes for farmers, the Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana has come to the fore in a lot of fraud, so the Government of India has taken a big decision to stop the fraud.

There are many states in the country such as Tamil Nadu, Assam and many districts of Uttar Pradesh, there has been a case of large number of ineligible beneficiaries who were taking benefits without eligibility.

The Government of India has ordered the states to carry out physical verification of 5% of the beneficiaries so that such people can be identified, tell that this verification has to be random.

This decision of the Government of India has been made due to the fraud in the scheme, in the last few days, the amount of scheme has been transferred in the account of more than 5 lakh people who were not eligible. CBCID is now investigating this scam worth Rs 110 crore and the amount transferred is being recovered.

Physical verification of PM Kisan Yojana beneficiaries
In order to stop the increasing fraud in the Samman Nidhi scheme, the central government has ordered physical verification. Earlier this verification was done under random sampling, as per a report by The Economic Times, the Indian government has ordered states that 5 percent beneficiaries. It should be verified whether the scheme money is going to the right people or not.

Such people cannot avail benefits in Samman Nidhi Yojana

Under this scheme of the Government of India, such people cannot avail benefits, whose family members pay income tax.
Retired and existing government employees also do not come under its purview, but such farmers are under its ambit, who are doing class IV government jobs.
Also, people receiving a pension of more than Rs 10,000 cannot be included under this scheme.
The benefit of the scheme cannot be given even to such people, who are using their land for something else instead of farming.
Beneficiaries will go door to door
An Agriculture Ministry official said that the scheme is being audited by the CAG and we have asked all the states to give payment details and also asked them to do physical verification of 5% beneficiaries so that it can be found out. Whether the money is going to the wrong person and it is up to the state governments that they can elect any beneficiary and go to their house and check the facts.
