Link UAN with Aadhaar number
If you want to get your PF money on the day of retirement, then for this you will have to link your Aadhaar number with the Universal Account Number (UAN) number. If by now you have not linked UAN to Aadhaar, get it done soon, otherwise you will not get the necessary facilities related to PF.
According to the media report, Central Provident Fund Commissioner Sunil Barthwal has informed that UAN needs to be linked with Aadhaar for maximum benefit of PF.
The Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) is working on an arrangement under which the employee will get PF money on the day of his retirement, along with pension.
Let us tell you that in 2017, Union Labor and Employment Minister Bandaru Dattatreya had told the Parliament about this facility. However, this decision of EPFO is expected to benefit about 8 crore people of the country.
A few days later, the EPFO issued a statement telling its consumers not to share any information (bank details, Aadhaar details, PAN numbers, phone numbers etc.) with anyone. Do not be tempted by any offer, because EPFO never asks for such information from anyone.
