Pensioners can also submit a life certificate from home

November is very important for government and PF pensioners. In this, they have to go to a bank, post office or EPFO to submit their life certificate. The process of submitting a life certificate has to be compulsorily completed. If this work is not done till 30 November, the pension may also stop.

To be present in person: To submit a life certificate, the pensioner has to be present personally at the authorized pension disbursing agency or life certificate issued by the authority in the office in which he worked. Disbursement agency has to provide.

Pensioners got a new year gift! The government made a big announcement regarding the life certificate

The biggest problem for pensioners is to be present in person at the disbursement agency and to obtain a life certificate to receive pension during the coronary period. This is even more difficult for physically challenged pensioners.

Not only this, many government employees start living elsewhere after retirement to live with their families and for many other reasons. Due to this, they have to face a lot of difficulties.

Digital certificate can be made: Pensioners do not have to visit the government offices for life certificate, so the government has started the facility of digital certificate. In this, the Aadhaar number is used for biometric authentication of pensioners. After verification, a Life certificate is created, which can also be stored in Life Certificate Fund. In this, pension disbursement agencies can view the certificate online.

You can get such digital certificate: To get digital certificate, pensioners will have to create a special ‘proof ID’. This is a unique ID. That is, it is different for each pensioner. Pensioners can create it using their Aadhaar number and biometrics. For the first time, pensioners can visit the local citizen service center to generate this ID.

Pensioners are required to provide fingerprints in addition to Aadhaar number, mobile number, pension payment order (PPO) number and pension account number. After successful verification, an SMS acknowledgment is sent to the mobile number. It contains a proof ID.

Once the digital life certificate is made, it is not to be submitted to the pension sharing agency. You can do this work digitally through the Jeevan Pramaan portal (https://ift.tt/1tQ069I). Agencies can also obtain a life certificate from the portal. Certificates can also be generated through the Umang app on Android phones or Windows on PCs.

Message given by EPFO: EPFO has sent a message on mobile to the pensioners that life certificate can be submitted anytime throughout the year. For example, if you have submitted your life certificate in December 2019, then you should submit it only in December 2020. If done after January 2020, you should submit a life certificate only after the completion of one year. Apart from the bank, EPFO, certificates can also be deposited at your nearest Common Service Center (CSC).
