Railway launched new online service to provide PF Advance and Balance Check facility to its employees

Indian Railways on Thursday launched three modules under the fully digital online Human Resource Management System (HRMS). These three modules are Employee Self Service (ESS), Provident Fund Advance and Settlement Module. With this launching, now serving and retired employees can easily check their PF balance and apply for PF advance.



It was taken to improve the efficiency and productivity of the railway system and is a step towards realizing Prime Minister Modi’s vision of making India a digitally empowered society. HRMS is expected to have a major impact on the functioning of all employees and make them more tech-savvy.

The Chairman of Railway Board, VK Yadav has launched the following modules of HRMS and User Depot useful for Railway employees and pensioners on Thursday through video conferencing.

The Employee Self-Service (ESS) module enables railway employees to interact with various HRMS modules, including communication about changing data.

Through the Provident Fund (PF) Advance Module, railway employees will be able to see their PF balance and apply online for PF Advance.



All the repayment process of employees retiring from the settlement module has gone digital. Employees can fill their settlement / pension booklet online. Service and details can be obtained online and the entire pension work is done online. This will reduce paper usage and monitor the processing of arrears of retired employees.
