Meteorite passes near Earth, learn what scientists said

Rumors about the meteorite came to a standstill after the meteorite passed safely near the Earth at 3:30 pm on Wednesday. But other than rumors, scientists are considering such incidents as important for research. Scientists say that these bodies coming from Sadur regions in the solar system will help in forecasting, including solar origin.

Dr. Brijesh Kumar, senior astronomer at Nainital-based Aries, said that every astronomical event is important for scientists. It becomes even more important when it concerns them on the earth. He said that Vishwanambhar scientists were keeping an eye on the asteroid that passed on Wednesday. Despite this there is no threat to the Earth, scientists have taken it seriously. He explained that the meteorite can be estimated to again pass through the Earth’s orbit by studying the rotation path. At the same time, studies of these bodies coming from distant regions in the solar system will help a lot in studies related to solar system origin. Also, in future it will go a long way in formulation of plans for the study of meteorites.

Where do meteorites come from?
Aerys senior astronomer Dr. Shashibhushan Pandey said that the location between Mars and Jupiter is called the astroid belt. There are millions of meteorites here. When their balance deteriorates, due to the effect of gravity, they start revolving towards the sun. According to Dr. Pandey, while coming towards the Sun, these meteorites pass through the orbit of Mars, Earth, Venus and Mercury. Due to this, there is a danger of these planets coming under the influence of gravity and falling here. When away from the orbit, they make their own path, orbiting the Sun.
