New Delhi. If you are a customer of State Bank of India (SBI), Axis Bank, Canara and Syndicate Bank, Bank of Baroda (BoB), IDBI Bank, then there is important news for you. From today the rules of many public and private banks are changing. The country’s largest government bank is making changes in many types of rules from today i.e. July 1. 1. For State Bank Of India customers-
From today you can withdraw cash up to four times from branches and ATMs for Basic Savings Account without any charges. After this a charge will be levied on it. After 4 withdrawals, you will have to pay a fee of Rs 15 plus GST on every transaction.
Change in check book service
SBI does not charge BSBD account holders on 10 check leaves, but after 10 Rs 40 plus GST will be charged. At the same time, Rs 75 will be charged on a check book with 25 checkleaf. 50 and GST charge will have to be paid on emergency check book. A fee will be levied for using the check leaf in excess of the limit.
These new rules will be there for withdrawing money from ATM
Withdrawing money 4 times from SBI ATM or bank branch will be free. After this, that is, after withdrawing cash after the free limit, a charge of Rs 15 and GST will be imposed.
2. For Canara Bank and Syndicate Bank customers-
If you are a Syndicate Bank customer then there is important news for you. Canara Bank is going to change the IFSC code of Syndicate Bank from tomorrow, July 1, 2021. Actually, Syndicate Bank has been merged with Canara Bank on 1st April 2020. Now Canara Bank is going to change the IFSC code of Syndicate Bank branch from July 1. The old IFSC code will work only till 30 June 2021.
Customers have to obtain the IFSC code for their bank branch.
On behalf of Canara Bank, it has been said that after the merger of Syndicate Bank, the IFSC code of Syndicate Bank branch has been changed. According to Canara Bank, add 10000 to the old IFSC Code of Syndicate Bank. For example, if the old IFSC code was SYNB0003687, then now the new IFSC code will be CNRB0013687 in its place.
3. For IDBI Bank customers…
IDBI Bank will give 20 leaflets of check book free of cost. After that Rs 5 per check will be charged. But if you maintain IDBI ‘Sabka Savings Account’ then this charge will not be applicable.
4. For Corporation Bank and Andhra Bank customers-
Corporation Bank and Andhra Bank have been merged with Union Bank and similarly customers of both the banks have been asked to get a new check book with latest security features.
5. For Bank of Baroda customers-
There is big news for those who have an account in Bank of Baroda. New IFSC Code has been issued by the bank. After the bank merger, the code of the customers has changed. Till now, it was given exemption by the bank that you can transfer money through your old code, but after July 1, 2021, your old IFSC Code will not work. Let us tell you that two years ago in the year 2019 Vijaya Bank and Dena Bank were merged with Bank of Baroda, only after which these codes were changed. After June 30, the codes of customers of Dena Bank and Vijaya Bank have stopped working.
6. Fees for SMS Alerts in Axis Bank
From July 1, 2021 i.e. today, Axis Bank is going to increase the fees for SMS alerts. According to the bank’s website, at present, the value-added SMS fee is Rs 5 per month on a subscription basis for select Value Added Services Alerts. But from July 1, 2021, customers will have to pay 25 paise per SMS for SMS alerts. SMS alert fee maximum will be Rs 25 per month. However, promotional messages and OTP alerts sent by the bank will not be included in this charge.
