The Finance Ministry itself tweeted and said that OM to remove the ban on DA is being spread through social media. But, this is completely false. The OM claimed that with effect from July 1, 2021, the ban on dearness allowance of central employees and dearness relief to pensioners has been lifted. DA will be 28%

At present, Central Government employees are getting 17 percent DA. But, last year in January 2020, there was an increase of 4 percent. Then in June 2020, dearness allowance was increased by 3 percent. Apart from this, DA has increased by 4 percent in January 2021 as well. Now dearness allowance will reach 28 percent. This will directly benefit more than 52 lakh employees and 60 lakh pensioners. There will be a bumper increase in the salary of the employees. At the same time, the pension of pensioners will also increase.
