From time to time, many changes have to be made in it, for which online service is available. If by mistake the gender has been entered wrongly in the Aadhar card, then you can get it corrected. This can be rectified through the Self Service Update Portal (SSUP).

Through this facility, you can make changes in your name, date of birth, gender, address and language in your Aadhaar card sitting at home. UIDAI said on Twitter that if you want to change your gender in Aadhaar, you can do it through Self Service Update Portal (SSUP).

Aadhar Online Update Services

Registered mobile number in Aadhaar in name, date of birth, gender, address and language is required for online Aadhaar update application through Self Service Update Portal. OTP for Aadhaar authentication will come on your registered mobile number. In this, for other updates such as head of family / guardian information or biometric updates, the Aadhaar cardholder will have to visit the Aadhaar Seva Kendra or Registration / Update Center. For this you will have to pay a fee of Rs 50.

Documents required for online update

UIDAI said that the cardholder will need the following documents to update the data

Name: Scanned Identity Certificate
Gender: OTP through Mobile / Face Authentication
Date of Birth: Scanned Birth Certificate
Address: Scanned Address Certificate
Language: No Document Required

Change gender in Aadhaar like this

First of all go to this link https://ift.tt/2ZtgHYX and click on Proceed to Update Aadhaar.
Here enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number and enter the captcha.
Click on Send OTP and enter the 6 digit OTP you received.
After that login and change your gender information and click on submit.

How many times can I update

There is a fixed limit for making changes in the data in the Aadhar card. UIDAI said that the name in Aadhaar can be updated only twice in a lifetime. Similarly, gender can be changed only once and date of birth can also be changed only once in special circumstances.
