Jammu Airport Blasts LIVE Updates: It seems that the blast was carried out by dropping an IED by a drone in the highly security technical area of Jammu Air Force Station, in which two people got minor injuries and two barracks were damaged.

The NIA team has reached the Air Force station to investigate the two blasts (Jammu Airport Explosion) in the highly security technical area of Jammu-based Air Force Station late Saturday night. At the same time, Jammu and Kashmir Police said that a case has been registered under UAPA in this matter.
At least two people are reported to be slightly injured in this blast, while two barracks of the station have been damaged. Sources say that an explosive material had fallen on the roof of the building, which destroyed the entire barracks. The second blast took place in the open area along with the building.
According to sources, the use of drones is suspected in the two blasts at Jammu Technical Airport last night. Both the blasts took place inside the airport and it is believed that IEDs were dropped here through drones. With the news of the use of drones, doubts have started deepening in Pakistan. In view of the possibility of terrorist involvement in these blasts, the air force stations located nearby Srinagar and Pathankot in Punjab have also been put on high alert.
Meanwhile, a suspected terrorist has been arrested in Jammu and some explosive material has been recovered from him. Officials gave this information on Sunday. He told that the suspect is a resident of Banihal. He was arrested on Saturday night from Trikoot Nagar area on the outskirts of Jammu. Security has been beefed up in Jammu division following the arrest of the suspect and the discovery of explosives, officials said.
Earlier, the Indian Air Force (IAF) tweeted that “two low intensity explosions” were reported in the technical area of Jammu Air Force Station in the early hours of Sunday. One blast caused minor damage to the roof of a building while the other exploded. Happened in the open area. The Air Force said, “There was no damage to any equipment. The investigation is being done in collaboration with civilian agencies.”
The sound of an explosion was heard near the technical area of the airport around 2 pm on Saturday. As soon as the information of the blast was received, Jammu and Kashmir Police and Bomb Disposal Squad and Forensic Team reached the spot. The blast was not that severe and then the investigation team is finding out the reason behind it.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh’s office said that he spoke to the Deputy Chief of the Air Force Air Marshal HS Arora regarding the blasts. Investigating officers are also investigating the possible use of drones to drop explosives at the airport, he said. There are various assets of the Air Force in this airport.

The Defense Minister’s office tweeted, “Defence Minister Rajnath Singh spoke to Air Marshal HS Arora, Deputy Chief of the Air Force about the incident today at Air Force Station in Jammu. Air Marshal Vikram Singh is reaching Jammu to take stock of the situation.
Officials said various aspects, including the possible involvement of terrorist networks operating out of Pakistan, in the blasts are being probed. Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria has been apprised about the blasts, he said. The Air Force Chief is on a three-day visit to Bangladesh from Saturday.
Let us tell you that once again terrorist organizations are becoming active in Jammu and Kashmir. However, Indian soldiers have tightened their grip on him. In such a situation, the news of such a blast inside the airport premises has disturbed everyone. No loss of life or property has been reported in the blast so far.
