poisonous liquor killed 28 people in Aligarh, many in critical condition

The deaths continued till midnight in the poisonous liquor case in Aligarh. By 3 o’clock in the night, the deceased had reached 28, whose official update was released and a report has been sent to the government in this regard.




Most of the dead bodies were done post-mortem, while some were in the queue for post-mortem till early in the morning. At the same time, a dozen injured are still getting treatment in the District Hospital and JN Medical, many of whom are in critical condition.

The government has suspended District Excise Officer Dheeraj Sharma, Excise Inspector Rajesh Yadav, Principal constable Ashok Kumar, Inspector Chandraprakash Yadav and constable Ramraj Rana on charges of negligence. Police have registered three cases and arrested five people including Anil Chaudhary, an accused in the liquor smuggling racket. The two main accused are absconding, on whom a reward of 50-50 thousand has been declared.

The first notice of death from poisonous liquor was received from Karsua village of Lodha police station area and Andala village of Khair police station area at 8 am. Excise team along with police, DIG Deepak Kumar, DM Chandrabhushan Singh, SSP Kalanidhi Naithani reached the spot and sent the sick people to the hospital. Meanwhile, it was found that two drivers of the containers were missing at the IOC bottling plant outside the village. When the police discovered them, they were lying unconscious in the containers.

People who were sick with alcohol were also sent to the hospital from village Nandpur Pala, Wright, Havatpur, Sangaur, Pala Sallu. Of these, 15 people sent from Karsua, Andala, Nandpur Pala, Sangaur died. A few hours later, three people were also reported dead in village Chherat in Jawan. At 12:30 pm, 4 more bodies belonging to the village right, Sangaur and Karsua from the medical college reached the post mortem center. Apart from this, efforts were made to bring two bodies of Nandpur Pala and one body of Chharat at post-mortem till midnight from the level of family members.

Many complain of not seeing

Order of action in NSA The
CM has directed strict action under the National Security Act (NSA) in the case. The property of the convicts will be seized and auctioned and compensation will be given to the kin of the deceased.

Magistratey investigation started … On the orders of District Magistrate Chandrabhushan Singh, the ADM administration started a magisterial investigation. Will submit report in 15 days.
