EPFO: UAN number can now be easily detected, know the whole process

Account holders investing in Employees Provident Fund are given a 12 digit universal account number. The UAN number does not change even when the job is changed, so it is considered very important. When the employee changes his job, a number is given by the EPFO ​​which is linked to the UN.

Follow these steps to know your UAN

Step-1: Visit the official website of EPFO www.epfindia.gov.in

Step-2: Click on Our Services here

Step-3: Here you will get a menu, in which Member UAN / Online Service (OCS / OTCP) will be found, click here

Step-4: Then click on Know your UAN Status

Step-5: Enter Member ID or Aadhaar Number or PAN Number

Step-6: Enter name, date of birth, mobile number here

Step-7: Enter captcha after this and click on Get Authorization Pin

Step-8: After this you will be sent to UN through SMS.

You can generate your own UAN number from home

First you visit the official website of the EPFO Wwwkepfindiakgovkin visit

After that select ‘Our Services’ and click on ‘For Employees’.

After this, the user has to click on ‘Member UAN / Online Services’

Then click on ‘Activate Your UAN’ (below the Important Links it will be present on the right).

Now your personal information like UAN, name, date of birth, mobile number and captcha and then click on ‘Get Authorization Pin’

OTP will come to your registered mobile number. You have to click on ‘I Agree’ and press enter to OTP

Finally click on ‘Validate OTP and Activate UAN’

You will also get details related to the PF account on the UMANG app of the Government of India. An employee can also activate their Universal Account Number (UAN) using this app.
