Army Chief Narwane spoke between India-China deadlock- Chinese army can deploy troops in short time in forward areas

Despite the withdrawal of strategic heights by Indian and Chinese forces on both sides of Pangong Soo in eastern Ladakh in February, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) deployed tanks, troops and weapons to their depth areas across the Line of Actual Control (LAC) Is continuing to do. From here the PLA can deploy its jawans in forward areas in no time. This was said by Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Narwane on Friday. Depth areas range from a distance of only 150 to 200 km from the LAC.

Army Chief Narwane said, “Therefore, our soldiers are also ready and in a cautious position.” Things seem stable right now, but that does not mean that we become complacent. We are watching the developments there. PLAs take the case of rotation of units. A new unit can come, but cannot go back to the old one. ”Narwane further stated that both the troops have just deployed 50,000-60,000 personnel in Ladakh. Development has not declined even after dis-engagement.

In East Ladakh, India and China were in a face-to-face situation since April last year. During this time, there were many violent incidents in which many soldiers of India were also martyred. On the other hand, many soldiers of China were also killed. After several rounds of meeting, the two countries agreed to withdraw from the two sides of Pangong Soo in February, while there are several areas, including Gogra, Hot Springs, where the armies of the two countries remain face to face.

Army Chief said that we should not expect results after every round of talks. Disengagement took place in Pangong So after several rounds of negotiations. The process of conducting the next round of talks (12th round) is on. It is taking time due to Kovid’s situation but there will be talks. The 11th round of talks between officers of the rank of Corps Commander was held on 9 April.

He added, “While reaching disengagement in the Pangong So area or the remaining areas, our stance was stable and there has been no change.” We want the status quo of April 2020 restored. The Indian Army has made it clear to the PLA that reduction of tension will be considered only when the dis-engagement is completed to the mutual satisfaction of the two sides. ”

General Narwane said at the East Ladakh deadlock, “Our troops have control over important areas, we have sufficient strength as a reserve to deal with any emergency.” We are behaving strongly and without increasing tension with China, while ensuring the purity of our claims in eastern Ladakh. “He said that India’s stand is very clear that there is no tension before the withdrawal of troops from all the points of dispute. Can not be less. The army chief said, “Since both are professional armies, it is necessary that we resolve the situation as soon as possible by restoring confidence.” A major stand-off between the two countries leads to loss of confidence leading to loss of life to both sides. ”He said that India, China have signed several border agreements which have been unilaterally violated by the People’s Liberation Army.
