Pune lockdown update: Ajit Pawar’s announcement – No lockdown in Pune till next Friday
Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar made it clear on Friday that at present, lockdown will not be imposed in Pune for the next 7 days.
In Pune, the lockdown update has been postponed. On Friday, Pune’s Patron Minister and Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar said that the situation is getting serious. It has been decided to cancel all political and private programs from 1 April. Under this, public parks and parks will be open only in the morning. Malls and theaters can be opened with a capacity of only 50 percent. There will be a complete ban on playing public Holi. All schools and colleges will remain closed till 30 April. The 10th and 12th exams will be held on time. MPSC exam will be on time. Night curfew will continue in Pune as before.
Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said that by putting the lockdown, the question of livelihood of citizens will be raised. We do not want that. But the situation does not improve, if the Corona rules are not followed properly, then the decision will have to be taken in the context of the lockdown on 2 April i.e. the following Friday. This will be necessary to break the corona transition chain. Before applying the lockdown, it is also necessary to take stock of some preparations.
‘No home quarantine option, will increase facilities in hospitals’
Talking about the measures to control the corona, Ajit Pawar said that if a person has a corona then the whole family becomes infected. So home quarantine is not an option. The local administration has decided to take 50 percent of the beds from private hospitals for the treatment of corona. 500 beds will be arranged in Sassoon Hospital. Examination and treatment facilities will be increased in Jumbo Hospital. The capacity of 316 centers of vaccination will be doubled.
Corona infection is increasing but mortality is under control
He said that it is a matter of relief that the infection of corona is increasing but the mortality rate is under control. Further Ajit Pawar said that it is also requested by the Central Government to increase the availability of Corona vaccine on a proportional basis in those areas where the number of corona infections is high.
