Bank Holidays: The first working day of the bank will be on the 3rd of April in the first week of April. That is, there will be no work in banks on 1 April and 2 April.

The new fiscal year 2021-22 is beginning from April 1. Private and public banks in India will remain closed for a total of 15 days in April 2021. 9 days will be closed due to various bank holidays. Apart from holidays, banks are closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month. Therefore, if we add on Saturday and Sunday, in April 2021, the banks will be closed for a total of 15 days. Explain that due to the fourth Saturday and Holi, the banks are closed from March 27 to March 29.

According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) website, the bank holidays in April 2021 include various festivals such as Ram Navmi, Good Friday, Bihu, Babu Jagjivan Ram’s birthday and many more. Festivals are included. It is also the Tamil New Year. The first working day of the bank will be on April 3, the first week of April. That is, there will be no work in banks on 1 April and 2 April.

Let’s know on which days in April the banks will remain closed.

1.April 1 – Government and private banks will be closed due to the closing of annual accounts of banks.

2.2 April- Aizawl, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Dehradun, Gangtok, Hyderabad, Imphaan, Kanpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Panaji, Patna, Raipur on Good Friday , Banks will remain closed in Ranchi, Shillong and Thiruvananthapuram.




3.April 5 – Bank will remain closed in Hyderabad on the occasion of Babu Jagjivan Ram’s birthday.

4.6 April – Tamil Nadu Assembly is the general election for 2021. Therefore, there will be no work in private and public banks in Chennai.

5.April 13 – Bank closed at Gudi Padwa, Telugu New Year, Ugadi Parva, Sajibu Nongampanba (Cheroba), First Navratri, Baishakhi in Belapur, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jammu and Kashmir, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji and Srinagar Will remain.

6.14 April – Agartala, Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Dehradun, Gangtok, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, because of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti / Tamil New Year Day / Vishu / Biju Festival / Chiroba / Bohag Bihu. Banks will not operate in Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji, Patna, Ranchi, Srinagar and Thiruvananthapur.

7.April 15 – Banks will be closed in Agartala, Guwahati, Kolkata, Ranchi and Shimla on the occasion of Himachal Day, Bengali New Year’s Day, Bohag Bihu, Sirhul.

8.April 16 – Bank will be closed in Guwahati on the occasion of Bohag Bihu.

9. April 21- Banks will not operate in Agartala, Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Dehradun, Gangtok, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Ranchi and Shimla on the occasion of Ram Navami and Garia Puja .

Apart from Sundays, banks are closed on the second and fourth Saturdays. On 4, 11, 18 and 25 April it is Sunday while on 10 April and 24 April, the bank will be closed due to the second and fourth Saturday.

Bank branches will remain closed on these days, but mobile and internet banking will continue to work as usual. Customers can transact through the online mode.
