Vivo V20 Pro 5G Review: How is this 5G smartphone with 44MP dual selfie?

Vivo V20 Pro 5G Review: Vivo has introduced this smartphone in the mid-range segment. Liked many things of the phone, there are also some drawbacks. Read all about these in this review.

Vivo V20 Pro 5G has recently been launched in the Indian market. Since telecom companies in India will start offering 5G within one to two years, so it is also right to buy 5G smartphone in this segment.

Let’s talk about Vivo’s new smartphone Vivo V20 Pro 5G. We will tell you about the advantages and shortcomings of this smartphone.

Vivo V20 Pro design and build quality

As far as the design of Vivo V20 Pro 5G is concerned, then it has to be believed that for some time, this company has been making premium designed smartphones. Vivo V20, X50, X50 Pro were also launched earlier, whose design was excellent.

Vivo V20 Pro 5G is very premium to watch and it is a sleek smartphone. The size is also compact, due to this it is good to use it with one hand and grip to hold it.

Although the design of Vivo V20 Pro is similar to Vivo V20, but it is 5G and the company claims that it is the thinnest 5G smartphone.

The rear panel of the phone comes in glossy metal finish and on the top is the camera module which looks appealing. Vivo branding in the bottom. At the bottom is the speaker grill, USB Type C and SIM tray.

Overall, this smartphone justifies its price in look and feel and the company has not left any shortcoming in making it pre that premium. Now let’s talk about the display.

Vivo V20 Pro display

Vivo V20 Pro has a 6.44-inch AMOLED display, which is full HD Plus. It is also similar to Vivo V20 in the display. Here you get a small notch in which dual rear cameras are given.

This smartphone does not support high refresh rate display, which I think is a big thing. Because even at a lower price, now smartphones with at least 90Hz refresh rate are available which are more fast-paced. Even if the performance wise are not that fast, but due to the high refresh rate it seems that they are fast.

However, the display of this phone can be said to be good, but again the one thing that should have been here is not that super amoled display.

The display is bright, colorful and the viewing angle is also good. We have had a good experience watching videos or gaming.

Vivo V20 Pro performance and software

The Vivo V20 Pro has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor which supports 5G. That is, this phone is also future proof in a way. Right now you will not be able to use 5G only.

The processor given in this phone is good and it makes the phone very fast, smooth and great for multi-tasking. Here too, this phone is different from Vivo V20, because Snapdragon 720G is available in it.

Talking about gaming, from light-hearted games to heavy gaming, you will not face any problem. There is no issue in performing normal task and till now this phone does not hang or lag.

Talking about multi tasking, switching from one app to another is fast and loading time is less. You can also work by opening dozens of apps simultaneously.

One limitation with this phone is that you cannot put extra memory in it. This smartphone has 128GB of internal storage with 8GB of RAM and you have to be satisfied with this.

Android 10 based software has been given in Vivo V20 Pro 5G, but soon Android 11 will be updated in this smartphone.

We have also said this before about Vivo’s software, the company has improved its Funtouch OS for the past one and a half years. Earlier it seemed to be a copy of iOS, but now this thing has changed.

However, the company has still not stopped giving pre-installed apps in it. In this, you will find Snapchat, Spotify, Phone Pay and some other apps. Google’s apps have to be found, because stock Android also has Google’s apps. The phone has an under display fingerprint scanner, it is very fast.

However, when it comes to software experience, I have mostly used it in dark mode. Like the stock Android, the company has tried to design it and it is fine too. Overall, its mobile operating system has some small features that are useful for you.

Vivo V20 Pro Camera

Vivo V20 Pro has three rear cameras. The primary lens is 64 megapixels. The second 8 megapixel ultra wide lens, while the third lens is a 2 megapixel depth sensor.

The phone is a dual selfie camera. A specialty of the phone is also that this smartphone has a 44 megapixel selfie camera. The second camera is 8 megapixels.

Let’s talk about the rear camera first. The primary camera given in the phone is 64 megapixels and it clicks the best pictures. The quality of the ultra wide angle was slightly delayed. But there will be a lot of details in photos taken with the primary camera.

The good thing is that the rear camera of this phone not only performs well under good light, but it will not disappoint you even if the light is low or completely dark. Night mode has been well developed by the company and even in the dark you will click such pictures which will be of your use.

Colors are accurate in photos, although the depth sensing camera could have been improved further. For some time, portrait photos did not come as well as expected.

A feature of iFocus has also been provided, which can track the subject’s eyes. This feature will be liked and our experience has been good about this feature.

The quality of this phone is a dual selfie camera given in it. Whether it is to click a selfie in the dark or in the light – it gives excellent results in every kind of situation.

Wide angle and night modes are very useful for selfies and if you are fond of selfie or vlogging, then you will probably be impressed. There are many types of fancy modes that can be presented on social media by making themselves virtually beautiful.

Even if the selfie is clicked in normal mode, the result is good and if you click it in wide-angle portrait mode, the selfie will be such that you will like it.

Overall, this segment is the best in the case of selfie cameras, but its rear camera setup is also good. But the segment is not the best.

Vivo V20 Pro – Battery Life

4,000mAh battery is available in Vivo V20 Pro 5G. There is also support for 33W fast charge. The phone charges fast, but its battery backup could have been better. In mixed use, this phone runs comfortably throughout the day, but on heavy use, its battery drains fast and you will have to charge it till nightfall.

Bottom line

Vivo V20 Pro 5G is a future proof smartphone. Due to excellent performance, good camera and premium design, this phone becomes worth buying. Despite some shortcomings (which we have mentioned above), this smartphone is good in this segment.
