Good News! Now MNREGA workers will get many facilities including home and pension

MNREGA: It has also been decided to give wages to the people working under MNREGA. 

The UP government will give these benefits to those workers who have worked for at least 90 days in a year under MNREGA.

Lucknow. Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has taken a big decision in the interest of MNREGA laborers . The Uttar Pradesh government has now decided to extend the benefit of 15 schemes for the welfare of construction laborers to the laborers also working under MGNREGA. The UP government will give these benefits to those workers who have worked for at least 90 days in a year under MNREGA. These laborers will get facilities like pension, medical, housing, toilets. The Workers Welfare Board has sought a list of such laborers from the Additional Commissioner (MNREGA).

  • Worker critical illness assistance scheme
  • Housing assistance scheme
  • Toilet Support Scheme
  • Medical facility scheme
  • Residential school scheme
  • Mahatma Gandhi Pension Assistance Scheme
  • Solar energy assistance scheme
  • Maternity Infant and Girl Child Support Scheme
  • Kanya Marriage Support Scheme
  • Sant Ravidas Education Assistance Scheme
  • Meritorious student award scheme
  • Construction worker funeral assistance scheme
  • Construction worker death
  • Disability Support and Disability Pension Scheme

Additional commissioner in UP government, MNREGA Yogesh Kumar said that a list of MNREGA laborers working 90 days and above in a year is being prepared on the basis of the letter of Secretary Uttar Pradesh Building and other construction workers welfare board. Registration of laborers coming in this list will be done in the Welfare Board.

Let us tell you that under MNREGA, in this financial year, so far, 1.32 lakh job-holding families have worked 100 days. The department informed that at present about 20 laborers are carrying out various works under MNREGA. The department hopes that by March 31, the target of providing 100 days of work to about 20 lakh families will be fulfilled.
