Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna: The last date for EWS / LIG category to apply for PMAY scheme and avail subsidy on home loan is 31 March 2022.
New Delhi. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) is a government scheme, which aims to provide affordable housing to the people of low income group. Under the Prime Minister Housing Scheme Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (PMAY CLSS), the government has extended the date of receiving interest subsidy on home loans to 31 March 2021. The benefit of this scheme will be given to families with an annual income of Rs 6 lakh to Rs 18 lakh.
The scheme, launched in the year 2015 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, provides 6.5 percent interest subsidy on home loans for 20 years, among other benefits. The last date for the EWS / LIG category to apply for PMAY scheme and avail subsidy on home loan is 31 March 2022. However, middle income group one and two customers can apply to avail the PMAY scheme by 31 March 2021.
Aadhaar number is mandatory to apply online for the scheme. Following is the way to apply for PMAY online and offline
- Step 1: Go to the official website of PMAY, ie http://pmaymis.gov.in .
- Step 2: Select Citizen Assessment link
- Step 3: Enter Aadhaar Number: On selecting the option, you will get ‘Check Aadhaar / VID No. Will be redirected to the Existence page. Verify your information. Here you have to enter your Aadhaar number in the given space.
- Step 4: Enter the required information: You will be sent to the application page. Here you have to enter all the necessary information like beneficiary name, mobile number, e-mail, all personal information, income statement, bank account and all other necessary information.
- Step 5: Save the PMAY application: Once you have entered all the information then you will have to click on the Disclaimer checkbox button and enter the captcha. You can also take a printout of the filled application form.
Prime Minister Housing Scheme Offline Application Process
Customers who wish to apply for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana can do so by filling in the forms available in the Common Service Centers (CSC) set up by the state governments. The form can be purchased at a nominal fee of 25 + GST. Applicants who do not have time to go to CSC, can print the PMAY application form in the following way:
- Step 1: Visit the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana website
- Step 2: Under the Citizen Assessment link, select the relevant option
- Step 3: Enter your Aadhaar number for verification
- Step 4: Once the form appears, right-click your mouse and choose the print option
Important points to remember about PMAY application form
- Applicants should ensure that they fill the PMAY application form available on the official website of the Ministry or in Common Service Center (CSC) mediums other than these, neither of them has the right to register.
- Applicants must be ready with the necessary documents before filling the application form.
- Applicants have to fill all the information correctly as incorrect data on the application form can lead to rejection.
