Shock to PNB customers! Interest reduced on savings account, know how much benefit you will get now?
Punjab National Bank has cut interest rates on savings account. PNB has cut savings account interest rate by 10 basis points (10 basis points).
New Delhi: There is important news for those having a savings account in Punjab National Bank. If you also have an account then you will get less interest. The interest rates on the bank savings account have been cut. PNB has cut savings account interest rate by 10 basis points (10 basis points). Let us tell you that from now on, customers will get the benefit of interest at the rate of 2.90 percent. The new rates will be applicable to both old and new account holders. The new rates are applicable from 1 September 2021 i.e. tomorrow.
For deposits of less than Rs 100 crore, the new interest rate will be 2.9 percent. Explain which is 0.10 percent less than 3 percent. Apart from this, if you deposit amount of 100 crores and above, you will get the same interest of 2.9 percent.
SBI has also cut interest rates.
Apart from PNB, State Bank of India has also cut interest rates. SBI has reduced the savings account interest rates to 2.70 percent per annum. Both the government banks of the country have cut interest rates on savings accounts. At the same time, talk about other private banks such as IDBI, Kotak Mahindra Bank, IDFC First Bank and Canara Bank are giving their customers the benefit of about 4 percent or more interest on savings accounts.
PNB Latest Bank FD Rates
PNB is offering an interest rate between 2.9 percent to 5.25 percent on FDs maturing in 7 days to 10 years. Apart from this, if we talk about senior citizens, then they are getting the benefit of 0.5 percent more interest. Senior citizens are getting the benefit of interest ranging from 3.4 percent to 5.75 percent on their deposits and these rates are effective from August 1, 2021.
How much cash can PNB customers withdraw in a day?
PNB offers three types of debit cards to its customers – these include Platinum, Classic and Gold. According to the official website of PNB, PNB Platinum Debit Cardholders get the facility of cash withdrawal up to Rs 50,000 per day. Apart from this, cash withdrawal facility of Rs 25,000 per day is available for PNB Classic Debit card holders. PNB Gold Debit Card holders are getting the benefit of cash withdrawal of Rs 50,000 per day.
