Uttarakhand DA Alert: The Uttarakhand government has decided to increase the DA of its employees by 28 percent.

Uttarakhand DA Alert: Giving a big relief to the government employees in Uttarakhand, the state government removed the ban on the Dearness Allowance of the employees. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said on Wednesday that it has been decided to increase the DA of employees from 17 percent to 28 percent.

State employees will benefit
During the ongoing monsoon session of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly, it was announced that the increased DA will be given to the employees along with the arrears of July 1.

With this announcement of the state government, about 1,60,00 government employees and almost pensioners will get a big relief, whose DA was stopped.

The central government had banned last year
In view of the impact of the corona epidemic, the central government had banned the DA of central employees last year. Other state governments also implemented this decision of the government in their state.

Central employees have also got benefit on DA
Earlier, the Central Government had also increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) for its more than 1 crore central employees from the rate of 17 per cent to 28 per cent. The benefit of which they have started getting from July 1.

Decision on police grade pay soon
Chief Minister Dhami said that the government will soon take an appropriate decision on the grade pay of police personnel. He said that only the decision will be taken which will be in the interest of the police personnel and the state government.

The Chief Minister also praised the work done by the police personnel during the Covid pandemic.
