In the first cabinet meeting of the Modi government in its second term, taking a big decision about the farmers of the country, it has been announced that from now on, every farmer will be given 6 thousand rupees every year. Not only this, landless farmers will also get the benefit of this scheme.

Till now only small and medium farmers owning land up to 2 hectares were included in this scheme, 14.5 crore farmers of the country will get direct benefits of this scheme. The Government of India has asked for new registrations for the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Yojana from all the states.

Out of 4.76 crore registered farmers, the government has so far paid over 11,000 crore rupees to more than 3.1 crore farmers. According to data from the Ministry of Agriculture, over 2.25 crore farmers have received two installments of Rs 2,000 each.

How to apply for Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana
To take the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, you have to apply online or offline.

While applying online, the farmer is required to pass his Aadhar card number, voter ID card and bank account number.

Apart from this, if the farmer is from SC / ST category then he will have to give a certificate.

After this, you have to give your information such as father’s name, mobile number, date of birth, information of farming such as – size of farm, how much land is there, etc.

Pension yojana for farmers
Pension scheme for farmers has also been announced in the first cabinet meeting. Under the pension scheme, people between 18 and 40 years of age will get a pension of 3 thousand rupees per month after the age of 60 years.

Just as the Prime Minister Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana was implemented by the Modi government for the people working in the unorganized sector, now it has been implemented for all the farmers.

Under the pension scheme, a person aged 18 years will have to contribute Rs 55 per month. The government will also contribute only this much. The amount of contribution will increase according to age.
