UPSC Exam: Civil service exam 2021 notification stopped at present, SC said this to Center

UPSC Exam: Hearing in the matter of giving another chance to the candidates in the UPSC Civil Service Examination, the Supreme Court has directed the Central Government that until the matter is heard. Until then, the new notification should not be removed.

The Center has said in the court that it is not in favor of giving the candidates another chance. A bench headed by Justice AM Khanwilkar had in the previous hearing directed Additional Solicitor General SV Raju to file an affidavit stating that the Center has not agreed to give an additional opportunity.

The court has not yet received the affidavit. Permission to file affidavit has been sought by the Central Government till January 27, after which further hearing on this issue will be done. The next date of hearing is 28 January.
