As per Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) guidelines, prepaid mobile subscribers are required to maintain a fixed balance in their phones. Along with this, it has become necessary to get minimum recharge fixed by the telecom service provider company in a fixed period. This amount of recharge can be different according to different company. Just like Airtel comes with a validity recharge of Rs 49 for Airtel, it is Rs 75 for Jio minimum validity recharge plan.





According to TRAI guidelines, the connection of prepaid mobile subscribers will be deactivated if there is no fixed balance in the phone. Apart from this, the number of users who do not use the number for 90 consecutive days of calls, SMS, data or voice-video calls, their number will also be deactivated. Once the mobile number is deactivated, it can be activated again within a grace period of 15 days. It is worth noting that after the payment of 20 rupees, the reactivation of the number is possible. If you are a BSNL prepaid subscriber and want to re-activate your deactivated mobile number, follow these steps-

There are several ways to reactivate a disconnected or expired BSNL prepaid SIM card. If your number has been deactivated due to non-recharge, lost SIM card, then it can be reactivated by following the steps given below.

  • First of all, you have to send a request for reactivation through BSNL Customer Care
  • You have to go to your nearest BSNL store and submit a request for reactivation
  • Along with the request, you also have to provide your photo ID and address proof.
  • After the verification and other process is complete, you will get a confirmation call and your number will be reactivated.

On the other hand, if you have requested for disconnection or your operator has disconnected due to wrong CAF, then you have to follow the steps given below-

  • You have to contact BSNL Customer Care. After this, a written application will have to be sent to the nearest BSNL store to get your disconnected mobile number again.
  • After this, BSNL executive will check the details related to your disconnected number. If your number is not allotted to someone else, then to release the number, you will have to submit a request in these billing charges through internal portal.
  • The same mobile number will be issued to you after the verification is completed or it is possible that the customer’s request can be rejected due to the company’s fixed rules and reasons.
