ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, is preparing to fold its bag from India. The Gurgaon-based company has now almost finished its business from India. According to the information revealed, the company has given 3 months advance salary to its employees, it is being estimated that the company will no longer do business in India.

ByteDance sent mail to employees
A mail has been sent to employees by ByteDance. It states, “We have worked swiftly to comply with the order of the Government of India issued on June 29, 2020. We constantly try to make our app comply with local laws and regulations and do our best to remove any problems. It is therefore disappointing that in the last seven months, despite our efforts, we have not been given clear instructions as to how and when our apps can be allowed again. We have no choice but to reduce our workforce. ”
Why did ByteDance take this big decision
In fact, India is preparing to impose a permanent ban on 58 more Chinese apps with Tiktok. Experts say that the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (Meity) has issued a fresh notice to impose a permanent ban (Ban) on these apps in India. Among the apps that will be banned, 58 more apps are also included from TicketLock. This is the reason that ByteDance is also ending its operation from India.
Experts say that the government is not satisfied with the response and explanation given by these companies. Therefore, preparations are being made to ban these 59 applications permanently. Notice has been issued to companies for ban (ban) only last week. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (Ministry) banned 59 apps in June, including Bytdance’s TickTalk, Alibaba’s UC Browser and Tencent’s WeChat. Banning the app, it was said that through them activities are being done against the sovereignty and integrity of India.
The government gave these companies a chance to present their stand regarding compliance with privacy and security requirements before imposing permanent restrictions. Companies were also asked to answer questions sent by the ministry about this. 59 App was banned under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act. In the last six months, the Indian government has banned 208 more Chinese apps. The ban was announced amidst tensions on the border between India and China, despite several rounds of talks at diplomatic and military levels, China is not deterring its antics.
