Heavy fire in Shimla, 41 rooms of 5 houses destroyed, 17 people homeless

Fire in Shimla: A fire broke out in a house in Addu village. Due to there being wooden houses nearby, the fire also engulfed other houses.

Shimla. In Himachal Pradesh, there is a continuous increase in cases of fire. Villagers became homeless due to fire in Kullu and Shimla districts on Thursday. A fierce fire broke out in the Addu Panchayat of Nankhadi development block of Shimla district on Thursday evening and 5 houses were gutted. It is being told that there has been a loss of millions due to the fire. Five families have become homeless.




After a lot of hard work, the administration, police, villagers and home guards personnel kept the fire under control. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Relief amount of Rs 48 thousand has been given to the affected families.

According to the information, a fire broke out in a house in Addu village on Thursday evening. As soon as there were wooden houses nearby, the fire spread to other houses as well and there was chaos in the village. The villagers made efforts to extinguish the fire at their level and reported the matter to the police, administration and fire department. Till late night the administration teams were busy in relief and rescue operations in the village.

Homeless people

have died in the fire of Ravindra Khund son Roop Chand, Suresh Kumar son Roop Singh, Rumal Singh son Gokal Ram, Tek Chand son Sadh Ram, Roop Singh son Sagar Das. The roof has been stripped from the heads of 17 members of five families. There were a total of 41 rooms in these five houses made of wood, which have completely burned to ashes. There is an estimated loss of Rs 1.5 crore in the fire. Thankfully, there is no loss in the fire. Shimla ASP Praveer Thakur has confirmed the incident.
