Delhi News: Trial of E-ticketing has started in all DTC buses (DTC Buses) from 24 February in Delhi-NCR.
New Delhi. The trial of E-Ticketing has started in all DTC Buses in Delhi-NCR from Tuesday 24 February. In fact, for the past several months, Delhi Transport Corporation was trialling the Contactless Ticketing System in some buses through the Chartr App. Through this system you will not need to collect tickets from the conductor. You can travel by taking a ticket from the charter app. The first trial of a contactless ticket system was started last year in cluster buses between the Kovid-19 pandemic and later some of the DTC buses. On Wednesday, this facility has started in all 3760 of DTC.
More than 3 thousand people are traveling with e-tickets
For the past few days, employees were being trained on e-tickets. The number of people taking e-tickets is increasing everyday. Everyday more than 3 thousand people are traveling by taking e-tickets. On September 14 last year, this trial was started in 29 buses of DTC in the Corona era. Later it was increased to 128 buses and now this facility has been started in Delhi from 24 February.
Can be compulsory after trial
Delhi’s Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot had formed a committee a few months ago to implement contactless mobile ticketing facility. Following the committee’s recommendations, it was decided to implement e-ticketing facility in all DTC buses last week. According to officials, the results of the trial started in September are very good. Therefore, all the DTC buses have now started trial.
, according to mandatory DTC officials, passengers traveling daily can take 40 and 50 rupees daily pass through the charter app. DTC officials are doing daily monitoring of e-ticketing. Especially the number of people taking e-ticketing from mobiles has increased significantly.
