  • Applicants must meet certain eligibility criteria to get a new ration card in Karnataka.
  • Should be a permanent resident of Karnataka.

Step 1: Visit the official website ahara.kar.nic.in

Step 2: On the home page, click on the “E-Services” section in the main menu or directly click on https://ift.tt/YNhHKML

Step 3: Here scroll down to “E-Ration Card” option and click on ‘New Ration Card’ option as shown below

Step 4: On the newly opened page, select “Language (Kannada or English)” and then click on “New Ration Card Request” to open the page as shown below:-

Step 5: Here select the card type to apply for Priority Household (PHH) for BPL Ration Card or Non Priority Family (NPH) for APL Ration Card.

Step 6: For BPL Ration Card, select the preferred household, then tick the correct option next to the question asked – Have you applied for BPL Ration Card before and want to link with this new application? Answer to

Step 8: Here select District, Taluk, Acknowledgment Number and then click on “Go” option to proceed to fill the Karnataka BPL Ration Card New Registration Form.

Application Fee

There is no need to pay any fee while applying online for new ration card in Karnataka. However, when applicants get their ration cards from the concerned authorities, they have to pay Rs.100 to get a copy of the ration card. must be paid.
