The purchase will come with maintenance requirements to last for 35 years.

This project is being run by the Ministry of Railways and the Government of Maharashtra to increase the capacity of the train network. MRVC spokesperson further informed that the MUTP-III and MUTP-3A projects are worth Rs 10,947 crore and Rs 33,690 crore respectively.
