CBDT has notified the new ITR forms for FY 2019-20/ AY 2020-21 in line with the amendments made by the Finance Act, 2019. Good news for taxpayers looking to file income tax return (ITR) for the Financial Year 2019-20. The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has notified the new Income Tax Return (ITR) forms for FY 2019-20/ AY 2020-21 (i.e. ITR 1 Sahaj, 2, 3, 4 Sugam, 5, 6, 7 and ITR-V), vide Income-Tax (12th Amendment) Rules, 2020, in line with the amendments made by the Finance Act, 2019, according to CA Club. Usually, the Income Tax Department notifies the ITR forms in the first week of April of the relevant assessment year. However, “this year, due to the exceptional circumstances, the Dept. has notified all ITR forms in the last week of May. The Dept. has notified the forms without the return filing utility. According to a report in The Australian, a letter from Cricket Australia chairman Earl Eddings was sent to ICC’s Financial and Commercial Affairs Committee on Thursday calling for the tournament to be shifted because of issues relating to the COVID-19 pandemic. Indian Railways reinstates advance reservation window to 120 days

The Railways on Thursday increased the advance reservation period from the present 30 days to 120 days for all special trains — the 15 pairs operating since May 12 on Rajdhani routes and the 100 new pairs of special trains scheduled to run from June 1. Indian Railways also modified the reservation rules in 30 Special Rajdhani trains and 200 Special mail and express type trains as it extended the advance reservation period from 30 days to 120 days.   Indian Railways’ circular notes that the modifications shall be implemented with effect from 8 a.m. of train booking date of May 31 onwards. The booking of parcel and luggage will be permitted in all these 230 trains.   As per the Ministry,  Tatkal quota allocation of seats to roadside stations, current booking, etc will be the same as is the schedule in routine timetabled trains.   The Railways had suspended all its passenger, mail and express train operations from March 25 in the wake of countrywide lock...

These will connect major stations like Mumbai, Ahmadabad Mumbai:  Starting tomorrow (June 1), the Indian Railways will be running 200 mail/express trains across the country. Western Railway will be starting 17 pairs of mail/ express trains connecting Mumbai and Ahmedabad with various parts of the rest of the country in a phased manner.
