SBI Account Holders Attention: SBI Shared Key To Secure Account From Unknown Messages For Account Holders: Details Inside
State Bank of India is India’s largest commercial bank, with over 15000 branches and 5 affiliate banks in even the most distant corners of the country. The State Bank of India (SBI) provides a diverse variety of banking products and services to both corporate and retail customers. SBI has remained one step ahead against frauds, phishing, and other threats to the safety of customers. Bank embezzlement may be greatly reduced if the account user is alert and aware all the time with his or her account credentials. Most of the time, customers receive a bogus message on their registered mobile number or email address that contains a suspicious link that, when clicked, takes them to a bogus website and they fall victim by entering their required credentials on that site. For checking the authentication of unknown messages from unknown sources, SBI has shared 4 safety tips for its customers.
Via its Twitter handle , SBI has alerted its customers that “Always check who’s behind the door before letting anyone in. Here is your key to safety.”According to SBI:
- Verify that the message is from SBI by checking for the shortcode starting with “SBI/SB” only, ex: SBIBNK, SBIINB, SBIPSG, SBIYONO.
- Do not act on messages from unknown sources.
- Check your messages to monitor your account’s activities.
