7th Pay Commission: Central government employees can once again get the good news of salary hike. Actually the government dearness allowance (Dearness Allowance) or increase in DA. Along with this, the fitment factor (Fit Factor) can also be decided to increase.
If DA and Fitment Factor are increased together, then the salary of central employees will increase significantly.

How much will be the basic salary

According to reports, the decision to increase DA and fitment factor can be taken soon by the government. Explain that due to increase in fitment factor, the minimum basic salary of central employees will increase. With this increase, the minimum basic salary of the employees may increase from Rs 18,000 to Rs 26,000. At the same time, the increase in dearness allowance will also benefit the central employees. However, no official decision or any kind of announcement has been made on this yet.

How much fitment factor is available now?

Currently, the fitment factor for central employees is 2.57 per cent. This means that the total salary of an employee with a basic salary of Rs 15,500 in 4200 grade pay will be – Basic salary x 2.57 i.e. 15,500×2.57. In this way the salary will be Rs 39,835.

Demand to increase fitment factor

Central employees are demanding increase in fitment factor. This demand is being made for a long time. If the fitment factor is increased now, then the minimum basic salary will increase from 18,000 to 26,000. There is a demand from the employees that the fitment factor should be increased to 3.68 per cent.

Get benefit twice

The government hikes DA twice every year. The DA hike is applicable from January 1 and July 1. According to reports, the government may increase the dearness allowance by 4 percent from July. Let us inform that even in March 2023, the dearness allowance of central employees has increased. It was considered effective from 1 January 2023. Right now the DA of central employees is 42 per cent.
