PM Kisan Yojana: There have been some changes in the scheme over time, know how long will the installment of Rs 2 thousand

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme: In the scheme launched in 2019, the government has made changes with time. The biggest change was to make the Aadhaar number mandatory and only those farmers were then eligible for the scheme.

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme: Under the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme , farmers are given financial assistance of Rs. 6 thousand annually. Money is transferred to the farmers’ account through three installments of Rs. 2-2 thousand. Seven installments have been released so far and the eighth installment will be released soon. There is a discussion that the eighth installment can be deposited in the farmers’ account on any day in the month of May. The 7th installment was released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 25 December last year.

The government has made changes over time in this scheme launched in 2019. The biggest change was to make the Aadhaar number mandatory and only those farmers after whom the field is named, were eligible for the scheme. As before, those who had a share in ancestral land do not get the benefit now.

According to the conditions, if the cultivator has land in the name of the father or grandfather of the farmer, then that person is not entitled to this scheme. With this, those farmers who do farming but do not have cultivable land in their name, then they are also not considered eligible. However, it did not have any impact on the old beneficiaries associated with the scheme.

In fact, with time these important changes were made so that the benefits of this scheme could reach the real beneficiaries. It used to be seen that those who are not eligible for this scheme also take advantage. The government’s target is that the benefit of this scheme should be given to such farmers who fulfill the eligibility. This is the reason that during the last 2 years, the government has made these changes in the terms of this scheme.
