How to check the balance and status of PM Jan Dhan account, this is an easy way

Pradhan Mantra Jan Dhan Yojana -PMJDY was launched in August 2014. Its objective is to financially strengthen low-income people by financially helping them. The idea behind PMJDY was to make the scheme convenient in many parts of the country for financial services such as banking, savings, deposits, credit, insurance and pensions. 

Those who do not have any other bank account can open their account in the bank in zero balance under this scheme. It provides an insurance cover of up to Rs 1 lakh. RuPay cards are provided to PMJDY account holders. In this, insurance cover up to 2 lakh rupees is available in Jan Dhan account opened after 28 August 2018. 

Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) in Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Account, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana -PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana -PMSBY), Atal Pension Yojana (Atal Pension Yojana -APY ), And Micro Development and Refinance Agency Bank (MUDRA) schemes exist.

Minors above 10 years of age can also avail this scheme to open PM Jan Dhan account. Only one person in a family can open an account in it. That too is given priority to women in the family. If you maintain a minimum balance then you get an over draft facility of Rs 10,000. That is, you can withdraw an additional 10,000 rupees from your account.

You can check the balance in Jan Dhan account in 3 ways. In this, you can check via missed call and another way through PFMS portal. Apart from this, you can check the balance of your account by going to the bank.

Via online PFMS portal

First of all , click on the link of PFMS Portal https://pfms.nic.in/NewDefaultHome.aspx #. Now you have to click on Know your Payment. After this you have to enter your account number. Here you have to enter account number 2 times. After this the captcha code has to be filled. After this, your balance will come in front of you.

Check in this way through missed call

State Bank of India (SBI) has introduced this facility for its account holders. Any Jan Dhan account holders can know their balance by calling 18004253800 or 1800112211. Account holders will have to call these numbers from their registered phone numbers.

Apart from this, account holders can also get this information by calling 9223766666 from their registered mobile number. This number may be different for different banks. Therefore, you can see the number to find out the amount lying in the account on your passbook.

And for the third you can go to the bank and do a balance check.
