Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother Heeraben Modi died on Friday at the age of 100. She was running ill for the last several days. He had trouble breathing, after which he breathed his last at the UN Hospital in Ahmedabad. Bollywood celebs also expressed condolences in this hour of grief in the Prime Minister’s life. Shah Rukh Khan tweeted on December 31 and condoled the demise of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother.

Expressing grief, Shahrukh Khan wrote, “I am deeply saddened by the demise of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother Heeraben ji. My family’s prayers are with you sir. May her soul rest in peace.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was very close to his mother Heeraben. He often took time off from work to visit him and used to eat food from his hands. PM Narendra Modi’s mother Heeraben was cremated at the crematorium in Sector 30 of Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

PM Modi’s mother used to live in Gujarat only. Shortly before, he had tweeted congratulating his mother on her 100th birthday, in which he had showered a lot of love for her.
