Indian Railways: People are not getting tickets in trains to go home on Diwali and Chhath and in which waiting list is less, the fare is more. Due to the dynamic fare system, premium vehicles have 2 to 3 times higher fares. Let’s know the updates.
Indian Railways Latest Update: The passengers going home by train on Diwali and Chhath are facing problems due to the decision of the Railways. Actually, tickets are not available in the train and there is a long waiting list. In trains where waiting is less, the fare is very high. Trains with dynamic fare system like Rajdhani, Shatabdi, Duronto and Tejas have to spend 2 to 3 times more during festival time.
Passengers have to pay triple the fare
The fare of Third AC in Poorva Express from Delhi to Patna is Rs 1,350. But the fare of third AC in Rajdhani train going from Delhi to Patna is Rs 2,370 and in Tejas Raj Rs 3,415. That is, the fare in these trains is two and a half to three times more than other trains. That is, passengers have to pay more money for this.
Let us tell you that the dynamic fare system is applicable only in Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Duronto trains. Actually, their speed is higher than other vehicles, so dynamic fare system is applicable in them. Due to the dynamic fare system, not only are the fares high in these trains, but due to the festival, the fare for booking tickets in these trains keeps on increasing.
Know what is Dynamic Fare System?
Now let’s talk about what is the ticket system after all? Let us tell you that in September 2016, the government had introduced the Railway Dynamic Fare System. This system is applicable to more than 150 premium vehicles like Shatabdi, Rajdhani and Duronto. Under this rule, the fare increases along with the booking of tickets. If 10% of the tickets are booked in the train, then the fare will increase by 10%. Even if 20% of the tickets are booked, the fare will be 10% more. That is, the fare keeps increasing with every 10% ticket booking. And the process of this increase continues till 50% of the tickets are booked.
This is how the rent goes up
Ticket sales fare
10% less than Rs 1000
10 to 20% Rs 1100
20 to 30% Rs 1210
30 to 40% Rs 1330
40 to 50% Rs 1460
Above 50% Rs.1460
What came of this system
The reason for bringing this system is that it gives a big advantage to the revelers. Knowing you, the railways have to spend 73 paise for running every 10 km train, but in return it earns only 36 paise. That is, in the journey of 10 km, the railway lost 37 paise. That is, the railways get a big benefit from this dynamic fair.
